What is sports video production?

Getting close to the action without slowing it down.

Our sports work has grown around motorsport in particular. For the past three years we’ve worked with race car driver Luca Staccini, covering track days across the country and, this year, following him on tour across Spain and Portugal. That experience carries over into everything else we shoot, including football and boxing, where the same instinct for timing and pace matters just as much. On the football side we’ve worked with clubs including Reading FC and Millwall, and even shot at Stamford Bridge.

OUR PROCESS

A process that keeps up with the pace of the sport.

Sport doesn’t wait, so neither do we. Here’s roughly how a shoot comes together.

01

Access & accreditation

We handle the paperwork and positioning with the team, club or organiser ahead of time, so we’re not scrambling for access on the day.

Phase 1

02

Shot planning

We map out where the moments are likely to happen, whether that’s a chicane, the touchline or the final round, and position accordingly.

phase 2

03

Live capture

On the day, we shoot fast and stay adaptable, since sport rarely goes exactly to plan.

phase 3

04

Edit, grade & deliver

Highlights and social cuts turned around quickly, while the moment is still fresh for your audience.

Yes, a lot of our sports work is built around ongoing coverage of one athlete or team across a season or tour, rather than a single shoot.
Social cuts can often be delivered within a few days, with a fuller highlight edit following shortly after, so the content stays relevant while people are still talking about the result.
